Job Title: Supervisor Strata Control OfficerLocation: Gauteng, South AfricaJob Type: Full-time, PermanentSummary:Hire Resolve's Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor Strata Control Officer to join their mining team in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all strata control operations at our mining site to ensure the safety and stability of the mine workings.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and manage a team of Strata Control Officers to carry out strata control activities in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety regulations.Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of the mine workings to identify potential areas of instability and make recommendations for remedial actions.Analyze and interpret geological and geotechnical data to develop and implement appropriate strata control strategies.Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure that strata control activities are integrated with mine planning and operations.Provide training and guidance to junior staff members on strata control techniques and best practices.Prepare regular reports on strata control performance and compliance with regulations for management review.Maintain accurate records and documentation of all strata control activities and data.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Strata Control Officer in the mining industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Extensive knowledge of strata control principles, techniques, and regulations.Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software and tools.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Valid driver's license.Benefits:Salary: R800k - R900kContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.Salary: negotiable.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.Apply for this role today, contact Menina Campher at Hire Resolve or on LinkedInYou can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.usor email us your CV: Mining@hireresolve.za.com We will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
