COMPANY DESCRIPTION: Our client, an upmarket Hotel and Conference Center in Pretoria, has a vacancy for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager (Fine Dining) to join their team as soon as possible.
JOB DESCRIPTION: To give quality service, both to customers and colleagues, to provide and maintain the services of food and beverage and other support facilities for restaurants and banquets according to standards specified by the hotel and departments, adhering to company and statutory regulations. Restaurant Manager responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant's revenue, profitability, and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: To lead all aspects of our business. You will deliver a high-quality menu and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer serviceResponsibilities include maintaining the restaurant's revenue, profitability and quality goalsEnsure efficient A'la Carte restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standardsKnow how to oversee the dining room, check-in with customers and balance seating capacityMaintain working knowledge of employee handbook, policy and procedure manualProviding a high quality and consistent service to both internal and external customersHave an extensive knowledge about the products in circulation that are on offerMaintaining hygiene in back of house areas, Kitchens and storeroomsAdhering to a high level of cleanliness in front of house and back of house food and beverage areasEnsuring that operating equipment is looked after packed away in the correct manner and locked away if necessaryMaintain a high level of personnel hygiene and appearanceWork safely, adhering to all hotel health and safety precautionsAttend hotel and/or departmental meetings and training sessions when necessaryMaintaining a cleaning schedule for fridge seals, cupboards, glasses, coffee machines and generalDisposal of waste before, after and during events or the opening and closing cleaning down proceduresWork in co-operation with other departments, develop and maintain an effective working relationshipCoordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations.
