General Manager/ Warehouse Manager

Our client who specialises in the transportation and handling of perishable products, is looking for a dynamic General Manager/ Warehouse Manager to lead their operations. Responsibilities: Day to Day running of our client's facility in Johannesburg. The operation consists of Large Cold rooms and dry section. Products arrive from Africa into JHB by our client's trucks and will be offloaded in to the Coldroom and then repacked for either Air freight or onward shipping to various destinations Worldwide. Manage the facility. Manage licences, Global Gap, PPECB, DAFF. Day to Day Reporting. Reports direct to Managing Director. Key Skills: Sea Freight knowledge a big Plus. Loading Sea freight Reefers also a big plus. General Office skills. Costing, planning is key to this position to ensure product arrives to its various destinations on time. Perishables are very delicate, Temperature controls utmost important. Hard working dedicated person, Perishables do not stop so is very demanding at all hours of the day and weekends. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred.
