About this career opportunity...  We have an opportunity for a Senior Environmental Consultant to contribute within a vibrant multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will work on a range of projects diverse in type and scale located in South Africa, wider Africa and abroad. They will have the opportunity to work in an integrated project environment and to deliver self-managed high-quality work related to their own technical specialism. They will be expected to support in other projects using their wider environment and sustainability skills and knowledge. Provide team guidance to the Environmental Planning and Advisory team. Key client/account relationship management, participation in marketing and may be required to provide input to business development activities, and development of  proposals. Lead / prominent role in delivering local and international (Africa) projects. Engagement with Clients and other stakeholders at the senior executive level and providing support and guidance on critical Environmental and Social (E&S) aspects affecting their  projects. Experience in Sub Sahara Africa (outside of South Africa) and ability to travel.
Location: Johannesburg (Preferrable) / Cape Town or Durban

Is this role right for you? We are looking for people with the following experience –
· A degree a relevant environmental and/or social discipline.
· Recognized as a senior or seasoned environmental and/or social specialist leading and delivering local and international (Africa) ESIA and/or ESDD consulting assignments.
· EAPASA Registration is required or evidence of application in process and SACNASP registration would be advantageous.
· Demonstrable project knowledge in several of the following sectors: water, mining and energy (renewables), road and rail infrastructure, ports and marine infrastructure, mining, gas, and industrial manufacturing facilities.
· Knowledgeable in a wide range of environmental and social sub-disciplines (i.e. air quality, ecological impact, climate change, occupational health and safety, resettlement planning, labour practices etc.)
