SUMMARY
Manage and organise the core operational functions that support the school, ensuring smooth operational coherence and a high standard of functioning of the school estate, kitchen, human Resources, IT, procurement, administration and day-to-day operations
REQUIREMENTS;
Relevant B degree or diploma
Drivers licence and vehicle
HR or legal qualification would be an advantage
Experience in managing operations in an educational institution
EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years in operations management positions
Project management, risk management and governance experience is essential
Experience in donor-funded environment would be beneficial
RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute to development, refinement and execution of business strategies
Work collaboratively with the SGB and the Principal to develop sustainable strategic planning for the future development, maintenance and management of the estate, the kitchen and school feeding scheme, HR, IT and administration
Update and implement safety protocols for the Estate, in alignment with applicable OH&SA and DBE requirements
Ensure adequate budgeting for the maintenance and development of the Estate, as agreed with the SGB and ASSF respectively.
Implement HR strategies and plans, supporting the SGB in same
Support the recruitment, management and development of high performing staff, who are able to deliver on the organisations vision and goals
Oversee the implementation of HR policies, processes and systems
Support the implementation of the WCED and the SGB approved performance management systems
Support the SMT in facilitating the training & development of staff
Oversee & manage the school feeding scheme and staff
Oversee and manage all the schools ICT requirements, for staff, scholars and parent SGB members
Procurement and Contract Management
Asset Management
Stock Management
Oversee all responsibilities relating to the administration of the school
Oversee the organisations governance and risk
Actively support the full and proactive implementation of the schools and WCEDs child safeguarding policies
Manage organisational finances within area of responsibility, approving and recording expenditure in terms of SGB delegations
