Job Title: Reservations Supervisor - 4* Hotel Group - JohannesburgLocation: Hybrid – Cape Town or Johannesburg (Flexible)Salary: R17,000 – R19,500 (depending on experience)Synopsis: Join our clients team as a Reservations Supervisor and play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our reservations department. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with experience in the hospitality industry to oversee our reservations team. This hybrid position offers flexibility to work either in Cape Town or Johannesburg and competitive compensation based on experience.Job Description: As a Reservations Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and overall efficiency of our clients reservations process. Your main responsibilities include:Ensuring all incoming emails and reservation messages are responded to promptly and accurately within a 2-hour response time.Answering phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.Entering all reservations accurately into the Property Management System (PMS).Maximizing room sales by upselling to higher categories and suggesting add-ons.Utilizing internal and external reservation systems effectively, including third-party websites like Booking.com and Expedia.Checking bookings for accuracy prior to arrival and confirming reservations 7/14 days in advance.Tracking reservations for statistical purposes using source codes and ensuring guest profiles are utilized correctly.Handling Special Attention Guests (SAG) requests accurately and providing appropriate service.Ensuring commission invoices are correct and tracked accurately.Logging no-shows and cancellations according to the property standard.Ensuring all reservations have deposits or full pre-payment in line with the property's payment terms.Identifying and reporting potential risk factors that may impact revenue to the Revenue Manager.Adhering to and fully understanding all Terms and Conditions relating to the properties.Minimum Requirements:Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.Knowledge of Room Raccoon, Booking.com, Expedia, local sites, and HyperGuest.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Application Instructions: If you meet the minimum requirements and are ready to take on the challenge of overseeing our reservations department, we encourage you to apply for the Reservations Supervisor position.
