I. Major Responsibilities: 1. Works directly with physician and administrative leadership of Transplant Services to partner in the development of service line strategic marketing and communication plans and deliverables, with the goal of developing/strengthening market position, volume growth, and the tracking of revenue generation.
2. Developments the transplant division marketing strategy, and brand development and multi-media/web/e-commerce strategy, in response to established organizational strategic plans and with representation of assigned client service lines.
3. Responsible for content development, copywriting and editing, production, distribution, and, as required, oversight of work of contributing colleagues.
4. Works with clinical staff to write/edit and produce patient communications collaterals including health-oriented collaterals, website content, etc.
5. Provides leadership in implementing marketing tactics for assigned service lines, working with public/media relations, social media, online marketing and design team member to ensure on time delivery of collateral, advertising, direct mail/e-mail, public relations, social media, video, online marketing, events, etc.
6. Maintains market share, and volume and competitor information as it relates to assigned service lines. 
7. Oversees the planning, organizing and implementation of assigned projects, programs, and campaigns to strengthen public interest and goodwill for the Transplant Division.
8. Ensures implementation within budget parameters. Contributes to communications efforts to promote and support such programs and events.
9. Develops and maintains project budgets that may include purchase/oversight of outside services, and vendor contracting and supervision.
10. Supports internal communications efforts via active representation of the interests of assigned client departments.
11. Establishes evaluative criteria and measures for assessing and monitoring the success/outcomes of marketing/communications and outreach efforts for assigned service lines.
12. Develops and manages social media channels and content including Website, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. Ensures blogs are relevant and up to date. 
13. Facilitates integration of social media efforts with key internal and external stakeholders.
14. Produces e-mail campaigns and e-newsletters, and maintains corresponding databases.
15. Spearheads and ensures that there are at least 2 Transplant Symposiums annually.
16. Develops enhanced referral process. Collaborates with the Transplant team to ensure that there are no access issues and patients are evaluated in a timely and efficient manner. Educate internal and external staff on referral/evaluation process and updated policy changes.
17. Acts as the liaison between the physician referral network and the transplant team. 
18. Acts as the liaison between the Division of Transplant Surgery and Network Development teams. 19. Develops and cultivates key relationships with referring physicians, dialysis centers, and external organizations (i.e. National Kidney Foundation). 
20. Conducts tabling events and grassroot marketing at physician offices, dialysis facilities and in the community.
21. Ensures compliance with system corporate identity and branding.

II. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in related field

Preferred:
1. Master's degree. 
Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Minimum of three years related experience in marketing and communications.
2. Solid understanding of market research, marketing plan development, and execution.
3. Experience in social media, with proven experience building successful social media profiles for organizations from the ground up.
4. Solid understanding of social media landscape, platforms, and measurement tools.
5. Demonstrates strong understanding of current and emerging social media channels.
6. Demonstrated writing ability and presentation skills.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management attributes to be demonstrated through interaction with physicians, administrative leadership, employees and community members.
8. Self-directed with an ability to set priorities and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred:
1. Prior experience within a health care environment.
Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.
III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions: Work is considered sedentary. Position requires work indoors in a normal office environment.
