This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer and the main function of this position is the management of all aspects of Human Resource Management for the group of companies, including the Human Resources team.

*Human Resources Team Management*

* Develops annual HR Plan in conjunction with COO
* Monitors the execution of the HR Plan and adheres to payroll deadlines
* Provides monthly feedback to the COO
* Conducts weekly planning meetings with HR Team
* Monitors the execution and quality of work of the HR team and provides coaching and guidance.

*Recruitment and onboarding*

* Develops job descriptions for new positions to be recruited for and maintains all existing job descriptions.
* Advertises positions internally and on all relevant recruitment platforms
* Shortlists candidates and presents to relevant manager, in line with EE goals
* Arranges interviews and assist with the interview process
* Sends a job offer and contract to the selected candidate
* Oversees the recruitment of wage employees to ensure that recruitment takes place in line with HR Policy.
* Develops an onboarding process for new employees
* Assist with induction of salaried employees
* Monitors probation periods of new employees and ensures that probation discussions take place
* Conducts exit interviews with salary employees and records exit interview data.

*Training and development*

* Compile an annual training budget for all entities
* Manages the annual training budget
* Facilitates training committee meetings
* Develops companies annual training plan in conjunction with the Health and Safety Officer
* Oversees preparation of data to be submitted to SEESA for submission of the annual WSP / ART reports for all entities.
* Conducts in-house training when required
*Performance Management*

* Provides training and guidance on the development and implementation of KPI's
* Develops performance measures for salaried employees together with line managers, based on job descriptions
* Coordinates the bi-annual performance management process for salaried employees
* Maintains database of performance scores.

*Industrial Relations Management (IR)*

* Monitors the execution of IR by the HR Administrator
* Provides input and guidance where necessary
* Monitors the record keeping of IR incidents and reports these to the COO Monthly
* Function as part of the Senior Leadership Team

*Employment Equity (EE)*
* Monitors EE Compliance for the Group and implements corrective action where necessary
* Provides input and guidance to the HR Administrator where EE matters are concerned

*Policy Development & Implementation*

* Develops and maintains the Group's HR Policies
* Implements the HR policies and monitors adherence thereto.
* Manage HR data on the Group's intranet to ensure that all employees continuously have access to the latest HR Policies and procedures.

*Qualification*

* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology or Btech degree in Human Resource Management

*Knowledge and Experience*

* Intermediate level in Excel and Word
* At least 5 years' experience at HR Practitioner or at a HR Generalist level, including managing a team.
* Has a sound understanding of all areas of HR management as well as the relevant Acts (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, OHSA)
* Experienced at industrial relationship management, CCMA representation and negotiating with unions is required
* Experience in the construction industry will be advantageous

* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels in the business
