Asurion Japan Holdings G.K. website: https://www.asurion.jp/ Overview: The primary function of this role as the Sr. Director, New Business Development is to prospect and secure new clients that expand and diversify Asurion's Japan business. In addition to responding to target client requests that come into Asurion, this role will be focused on proactive new client, segment identification, opportunity development and relationship management in order to capture new business for Asurion. The candidate should possess the ability to identify new opportunities, build and manage a sales funnel, and have the ability to focus and determine which opportunities have the highest probability of success. This requires a thorough knowledge of the target prospect, the solutions/services Asurion can provide, and of the key competitors.
The Sr. Director, New Business Development will partner closely with other members of the cross-functional team (client solutions, product, marketing, technology, supply chain, finance, etc) to align on strategies, priorities and develop solutions that will win new business and enable profitable growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prospect for new clients and channels to drive growth.
Identify key decision makers within the prospective client organization and build relationships over a sustained period of time.
Work with the cross-functional team to develop proposals and sales strategies that drive value, solves problems and meets the objectives for the client as well as their customers if applicable.
Understand the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry and competitor offerings.
Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a mutually beneficial conclusion.
Partner on product design and managing opportunity evaluation and pricing process.
Negotiate client contracts to completion with support from the legal team.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of complex sales experience with strategic clients
Experience directly selling to target channels. Example channels include wireless telecom; e-commerce and retailers (Amazon, BIC Camera); manufacturers (Samsung, Sony)
Experience in business/corporate development, sales and revenue growth, selling technology enabled services or software as a service (SaaS) in a complex sales environment.
Must demonstrate strong persuasion, negotiation and closing skills.
Has strong listening and positioning skills, with a demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and articulate solutions.
Ability to present highly complex processes at the executive and managerial client levels, as well as internal operational meetings.
Strong experience and proficiency in creating your own presentations and proposals in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and financial/data analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English.
Personal Attributes Is detail-oriented and has highly developed organizational and time management skills.
Must demonstrate a positive and outgoing personality in interacting with clients/new business prospects with a professional demeanor.
Must have a resourceful and positive "can-do" attitude.
Ability and desire to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to partner with a cross functional team as part of the selling process, but also understand and effectively present our overall solution on your own.
Strong relationship management skills; proven ability to influence internal colleagues from all business functions.
Conditions Type of contract: Permanent
Probationary period: 3 months
Working hours: 9:00-17:30(60mi break) with flextime, Teleworking
Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, Public holidays, Year-end and New Year holidays
Annual paid leave: 20 days maximum (depending on the month of joining, years of service)

Compensation: Will be informed before the 1st interview
Salary revision: Once a year(revised to reflect the company and individual performance in March)
