Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking a Digital Developer to join tier team in Cape town or Johannesburg on a contract basis. They offer stability, growth, attractive rates and a great working environment.The Digital developer is tasked with providing expertise in designing, developing, and testing software systems, modules, or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools. Incumbents within this job are providing expertise in detailed design for certain modules/sub-systems, doing prototype for multi-vendor infrastructure, and showcasing it internally or externally to clients. Design and develop functionality in a micro-services environment working with APIs, telemetry data, and running ML/AI algorithms on it, working with both structured and unstructured data.Key Roles and Responsibilities:Create and develop solutions and functionality that drives the growth of businessResponsible for writing and testing codeOwns the execution of automated testingAdvises on software deploymentWork cross functionally to deliver software components while working in collaboration with the product teamDesign and integrate solutions through automation and coding, using 3rd party softwareCreate, craft and debug large scale distributed systemsLead on writing, updating and maintaining the technical program, end-user documentation, and operational proceduresResponsible for refactoring codeAdvise on the reviewing of code written by other developersKnowledge, Skills and Attributes:Digital experienceInsurance(short term or life)/financial service industry is advantageousSAFe Methodology - value stream approachClient background:Custom built solutions (not off the shelf)Understanding of back-end integrationExplore new technologiesRequire adapatable individuals who can work in unstructured environmentsAcademic Qualifications and Certifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subjectMicrosoft Certified Azure FundamentalsLeading SAFeSkills SummaryApplication Programming Interface (API), Cloud Architectures, Large Scale Systems, Process Automations, Programming Languages, Software Design, Software Development, Software Systems
