Vp: Commercial - Africa

Our client (internationally listed) is on the lookout for a VP: Commercial to join their thriving team in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The role requires an astute, strategic and operational individual with brilliant negotiation skills (+-15 years Contracts/Sales experience within Telecommunications).Please be advised that Telecommunications experience and network is crucial and essential in this role.Â
The environment can be demanding and thus, this role lends itself to someone who is able to deal with a large volume of work and able to deal with large amounts of stress.
Focus of the role:
Strategic management and coordination of all Commercial activities and ensuring customer retention.
Other KPIs of interest include:
Oversight to commercial review process
Supporting C level stakeholders (internal and external)
Ensure industry Best Practices are adhered to
Driving targets
Acting as custodian between company and client
Account ownership and management
Staff management (3 direct reports)

Qualifications required:
Degree in Business Management or Finance
MBA highly preferred
Strong commercial understanding
M&A experience highly advantageous
Business Development experience is essential
