Overview A great mining company in Steelpoort, Limpopo is seeking the expertise of a VOHE Officer to join their team of professionals. Responsibilities Air quality monitoring and ventilation controlTemperature and humidity controlSanitation management within a prescribed areaCommunication of potential ventilation and occupational hygiene issues/hazards etc.Measuring up-cast and downcast volumes for legislative complianceEmergency Preparedness and response auditing, particularly referenced to escape strategies, refuge chamber construction and compliance and fire prevention and detection systemsEmergency Escape route plan development / draftingLamp Room legal compliance auditingVentilation and Rescue Plan updatingConstruction team planning, inspection and quality controlAir quality monitoring and managementRisk assessment and hazard identificationOccupational hygiene management on the mineAdministration of environmental engineering management systemsMine ventilation design, planning and preparation of ventilation layoutsCommunicating and reporting on environmental engineering issues Requirements Grade 12Advanced MEC Certificate6 – 8 years experience in a trackless mining environment Benefits  Salary: R800K/yr – R1M/yr, negotiable.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.Paid Time Off
