Utilities Operations Specialist - Sandton Utilities Operations Specialist Bryanston R25 – 30 000 p.m This position requires a young, entrepreneurial person who is wanting to grow this division in a large Property Management Company to market leader in utility & generator management, alternative energy solutions and smart metering services for landlords, property managers and body corporates. Qualifications: • Matric with maths + tertiary property/utilities diploma • MDA would be advantageous • Minimum of five years of professional experience in progressively responsible roles in utilities ,administration and customer service, utilities rates, and technology implementation • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience leading teams; utilizing highly developed interpersonal, public speaking, active listening, and team building skills Competencies: • Good knowledge of Electricity and Water meters, Advance Metering Infrastructure and Solar Energy Solutions and management • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to perform complex analysis of financial data. • Relevant knowledge of utility rates, fees, codes, laws, and regulations • Demonstrated ability to present information to internal and external stakeholders through advanced communication and presentation skills. • Ability to run projects of implementation of new services at client • Report on variances to the client, provides support to business unit on utility matters, manage the SLA with the utility management company on behalf of the client, • Administer utility billings to tenants and report on utility income, report on utility expense and queries. • Manage staff effectively and provide guidance in terms of utility tasks. • Work in a team within a broad framework of existing procedures and guidelines. • Able to communicate effectively with the client and internal teams. Diligent in processing and verify utility reconciliations, tenant billings and council accounts • Interface with Internal: Operations manager, portfolio manager, debtors administrator, accountants, accounts payable, Asset managers, clients, tenants, utility management company.
