Job profileCapcade is building out it's Cape Town office and we are looking for a multidisciplinary creative to join us as a UI and UX specialist, product designer. You will be part of a self-organised agile team that is working on our scaling our FinTech platform, which is shaping how private market transactions are sourced, negotiated, and executed. We need you to help support our go-to-market capability and assist with enhancing our existing design library with new assets that can be used across our customer facing digital channels and product. Ultimately, you'll create both functional and appealing features thataddress our clients' needs and help us grow our customer base. Improving the product user experience, along with bridging the gap between sales and product; converting potential customers to loyal users.Your ideas, decisions and skills will matter and will make an impact in our team, the clients we engage and the company itself. Within our working environment we have a flat team structure, no middle management, communication that is direct and transparent between all team members.Duties and responsibilitiesYou will have a unique opportunity to assist in crafting the future of game changing FinTech platform. You will be responsible for following areas within the business:Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with business and product and technology teamsReview existing go-to-market digital assets, incl. email, website and presentations and provide input into improvements Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemapsDesign graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, andwidgetsBuild page navigation buttons and search fieldsDevelop responsive UI mock-up's and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look likeInformation architecture, design system and style guide creationProvide design input into brand and social media marketing approach and content creation Update our websites, assist in the creation of new sites as needed using low-code platforms (e.g. Webflow)Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables)Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholdersIdentify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness)Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedbackAdhere to style standards on fonts, colours and imagesRequirements and qualificationsProven work experience as a UI/UX designer or similar rolePortfolio of design projectsUp-to-date knowledge on design software and wireframe toolslike Figma and Adobe Illustrator or PhotoshopTeam spirit: strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholdersGood time-management skills Proven skills/work experience in curating effective end to end customer journeysMultimedia design (videos, animation) would be advantageousWho we areCapcade makes private market transactions simple, seamless & compliant while reducing time, cost, and friction.
