This is a role reporting to our Senior Product Designer which will provide you with an opportunity to build out our UI design strategy and deliver our vision.This role will see you collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the design process in order to define and drive the user experience that SMEs in South Africa deserve when using financial services. You'll work with the Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to take our web and mobile experiences to the next level. We're looking to build end-to-end journeys that help SMEs thrive in a tough market. These products, services, and features need to be seamless, considerate, and WOW.Responsibilities will include:Collaborate with Marketing and Engineering Teams to deliver the best user experience for our customersDevelop compelling visual artifacts (UI layouts, interface elements, prototypes, high-level storyboards, mock-ups, wireframes etc.) to effectively communicate UI and UX needs.Conducting best practice research to develop and improve UI and interaction design to solve end-user problems effectively.Research the latest visual design, UI and interaction concepts, presentation layer technologies, digital best practices, and online trends, and provide recommendations for improvementsUnderstand user problems and needs deeply and clearly through research (Jobs to be Done, Design thinking, etc.) Conduct project scoping and requirement gathering and translate requirements into visual designs (high-fidelity UI) and prototypesExplore design ideas and directions and effectively communicate these for developmentCollaborate with the frontend Development team to ensure journeys are delivered to a high standard Build out a design system and communicate best practices and UX and UI design standardsKeep up-to-date with design trends to ensure a creative and forward-thinking design outputTHE COMPETENCIES WE'RE AFTERUser-centered design approach Excellent communication and collaboration skills Creative and imaginative - an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to think with critical judgmentExcellent attention to detailAbility to roll up your sleevesProblem-solving capabilityGood prioritisation and time management skillsDeadline driven - you know what success looks like and how to measure itAble to live, demonstrate and get excited about the Lulalend valuesComfortable working in a start-up environmentTHE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FORMatric/Grade 12 achieved 2-3 Years of working experienceRelated degree in design/human-computer interaction or equivalentExperience working as a UI Designer with a strong understanding of UI design and a fantastic portfolio to showcase your design workExperience in creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows and process flows from conception through to deliveryAbility to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersUp-to-date knowledge of design software #J-18808-Ljbffr
