Thompsons Holidays - Ticketing Consultant

We are looking for a Senior Ticketing Consultant to join our team in Rosebank, Johannesburg as soon as possible.

The main objective of the Ticketing Consultant role is to:
Issue tickets on Amadeus and various online airlines; Deliver service excellence; Positively promote the Company brand; Be customer centric. Key Duties and Responsibilities • Manual fare builds, recalculations as well as auto pricing.
• Re-issue tickets in line with airfare rules and airline requirements.
• Ensure all ticketing documentation is in place before issuing.
• Maintain ticketing processes and procedures to ensure quick, accurate delivery.
• Issue EMDs.
• Adhere to ticketing deadlines.
• Provide after-sales service to Res consultants.
• Manage all support functions related to tickets – online as well as GDS.
• Provide quick, efficient turnaround time at all times: when ticketing, when providing fare information as well as when re- issuing tickets.
• Effectively manage queues.
• Stay abreast of all airline changes and updates.

Skills, Experience, Education
• Minimum 3 years' ticketing experience on an intermediate level.
• Proficient in Amadeus.
• Strong knowledge of International Fares.
• Excellent organisational and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to excel under pressure.
• A service delivery mindset and a strong client service focus.
• Solution-driven.
• Effective team player.
