Technical Engineer

Qualifications-BSc Eng (Civil), BTech (Geotechnical Engineering)- Candidate or register Professional Engineers/Professional TechnologistsExperience-4-8 years applicable experience in tailings operational and technicalTasks-Provide mentoring, guidance and support to Technicians and Engineers working within the tailings operations.- Monitor and report on technical risks by means of ongoing technical audits.- Facilitate risk assessments on facilities with significant risk.- Develop and agree risk mitigation measures.- Provide assurance that data submissions are accurate.- Assess operational needs on an ongoing basis in terms of services provided, training and continuous improvement.- Undertake technical assessments of tailings operations including stability assessments, life assessments water balances etc.- Preparation of technical audit reports.- Undertake studies and designs related to the construction, development and closure of tailings facilities.
