PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE The incumbent in this role will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing and maintenance of ECIC information systems.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & INTERFACES Identify potential or new solutions and assess them both for technical and business suitability Participate in the design, configuration, testing and implementation of new systems and/or changes, including user training and supportEnsure compliance to change control processes for the implementation of new systems or changes Ensure adherence to best practices for system security, scalability, supportability, maintenance and performanceAssess the impact and architectural soundness of implementing new systems or changesEnsure that incidents, problems and service requests are resolved within the agreed service level timeframesEnsure compliance to change control processes for the implementation of new systems or changes Participate in requirements gathering and process mapping workshopsReview business requirements documents and assist with the development of technical specificationsAssist with mapping and documenting interfaces between legacy and new systemsMonitor and provide regular reports on the performance of core business systemsParticipate in the procurement of new systems and reviewing performance against the service level agreementsKey Measurements/KPIs % of changes or new systems implemented successfully % systems related incidents resolved with agreed service level timeframesPerformance of core business systemsKey Interfaces Internal and External StakeholdersECIC SuppliersECIC EmployeesQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related field2 – 5 Years' experience and knowledge of systems analysis, design, testing, support and maintenanceExperience in Microsoft Azure and 365 environments (Office 365, SharePoint, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Power Apps, Power BI)Experience in supporting ERP solutions (preferably Microsoft Dynamics)Experience in database management (preferably Microsoft SQL)Related certification (ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF) is preferred, but not essentialStrong technical background and knowledge desired SKILLS & ABILITIES The applicant should have demonstrated the following competencies: Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)Understanding of incident management, configuration management and change managementUnderstanding of software architecture principlesGood oral and written communication skillsGood presentation skillsInitiative and ability to work independently and with teamsAnalytical thinking and problem solvingWillingness to work additional hours when requiredBEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES The incumbent is required to have the following behavioural competencies: Problem Solving: Demonstrates an ability to solve problems effectively by systematically analysing the situation, interpreting it and appropriate generating solutions.
