Position Title:Supply Chain and Logistics Manager
Reporting To:Wabtec SA, Managing Director

Primary Purpose of Role:Direct, manage and coordinate, purchasing, logistics, warehouse and transportation for inbound and outbound activities. Lead and direct strategic planning for supply chain and logistics services. In this role the person will lead the strategy for buying, material fulfillment, and logistics organizations along with developing and executing strategic initiatives within the Wabtec facility. In addition, the role will be responsible for overall sourcing & materials operational execution and serve as the focal point for integrating Wabtec systems and processes as required.
Primary Objectives:
· Own and drive supplier negotiations, supplier improvement projects and cost out projects.
· Own and drive procurement process for direct and indirect materials, ensuring that suppliers execute material plan, Delivery on time (DOT) and within cost parameters.
· Develop suppliers and onboard new suppliers to comply to Localization activities to localize to support Wabtec’s requirements.
· Own and drive supplier claims/ refunds to balance stock and PO inventory tied to Quality Control practices.
· Align Supplier contracts to be tied back to back with our contracts to the customer.
· Negotiate and drive deflation / cost savings with suppliers yearly.
· Responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and dormant material effectively and practicing first in first out (FIFO) to eliminate expiry of materials.
· Develop methods and procedures for scheduling/ planning of raw materials, parts and services from suppliers to support achieving customer demand and minimizing cost impacts to Wabtec.
· Collaborate with Wabtec stakeholders and organizations on supply chain scenarios, due diligence, localization, and related activities to make sound business decisions for WSA.
· Develop and maintain supply chain system on domestic and international freight that ensures business needs are met.
· Create, manage and achieve Supply Chain and Logistics department budgets.
· Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations internally and externally by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program operational and personnel policies and procedures
· Manage outbound logistic to customers to ensure timelines and processes are met.
· Conduct regular stocktake and inventory reports.
· Conduct weekly Purchase Order status reports tied to delivery need by dates.
· Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
· Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.
· Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles.
· Participate in personnel development at all levels through talent acquisition, performance management, providing opportunity for high performers, education, communication, expectation setting, and self actualization
· Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
Formal Education/Training
1. Degree in Procurement/ Business or Transportation/Logistics Management
2. 10 to 15+ years in supply chain and logistics environment
3. Exposure to the Manufacturing or Railway Rolling stock an advantage
4. ORACLE experience and advantage / preferred.
Essential work skills
· Proficient in standard Microsoft software
