KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Superintendent II, Technical Training The Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.Play your part in our team succeeding...To manage two teams over multiple operations who provide Best practice training to all underground mining employees, including the supervisors up to Mine overseer's level. The scope of this role includes underground Training, underground Re-training / refresher training and assessments, underground Learning from Incidents training (minor impact), training delivery audits (post training observations), underground generic risk management and underground workplace related safety training.Youwill have the following:Diploma or degree in HR or Training and developmentOETDP level 5Mine Overseer's certificate of competenceBlasting certificate10 plus years' relevant experience in mining environment10 plus years' experience in Training and Development in underground mining environmentFluency in English essential and French & Swahili is advantageous You will have advanced skills and knowledge in:Familiarity with mining machinery and equipment An understanding of all mining support departments National legislation regarding mining and labour legislation Continuous training practices and best practice training Learning from Incidents training Technical Skills should include:Reporting and metrics MS Office Quality Assurance Management Personal Competencies should include:Innovative Problem solving Analytical and systematic Integrity and objectivity Risk awareness and management TeamworkCultural sensitivity Customer Service orientation Communication and presentation Flexibility and adaptability- think on feet Systematic Leadership and management skills Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to: Process: Assist in the development and coordination of an evolving mine training strategy and plan during the expansion phase of mine production Supervise the development of training programs for Underground mining Best Practice Training, underground continuous training(refreshers) and Learning from Incidents Training Oversee the implementation of training programs for Underground Mining Best Practice Training underground continuous training (refreshers) and Learning from Incidents Training Quality assure structured curriculum per technical training program for Underground Mining Best Practice Training underground continuous training (refreshers) and Learning from Incidents TrainingSupervise scheduling of training programs for Underground Mining Best Practice Training underground continuous training (refreshers) and Learning from Incidents Training  Manage the safety and health of all the senior officer, officers, and trainers underground and apply Visible Felt Leadership (VFL) at all times. The finer details:When applying, please submit a PDF version of your CV together with certified copies (certification within a 3-month period) of your ID/passport, drivers licence and qualifications. Should you not hear from us within 30 days of the closing date please consider your application unsuccessful.
