Ensure that all survey equipment is stored safely and neat. Surveying: Check all benchmarks, survey beacons and existing connection points for accuracy. Report any discrepancies from plan or existing information. Check levels of previous day, especially where work has to continue. Ensure that each team has line and level in place to start work timeously. Locate all indicated existing services report line and level clashes. Check and observe level and line during pipelaying. Report any deviations immediately. Responsible for the recovery of survey material (droppers and pegs). Cost Management: Measure work daily and complete survey and daily costing sheets. Allocate correct cost codes for fuel and labour. Contractual Management: Responsible for setting out accurately according to drawings, specification and documentation and Company standard. Consult the plan register and use latest updates. Responsible for surveing and recording of as-built information. Survey all existing ground levels and record and report discrepancies. Record all survey information according to Company standard. Ensure that quality standards are upheld. Ensure that safety procedures are followed. Use correct line of communication with Engineers. Public Relations: Ensure Healthy relationships with Engineers and Client. Be aware of public access and particular requirements of the contract. Report potential problems to Site Agent regarding access, ect.
