Strategic Support Manager: Procurement

We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.The Strategic Support Manager will assist and support the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to drive, provide support and direction to the procurement department in the areas of airline contract renegotiations, procurement process optimisation, supply chain re-organisation and optimisation, with the objective of driving cost savings and streamlining procurement in line with the Accelerated Long-term Turn Around Strategy (ALTTS).The incumbent will be expected to utilise his/her skills to prioritise commodities and contracts needing to be renegotiated and work with business and all relevant stakeholders to expedite the realisation of sustainable cost savings as soon as possible, whilst adhering to governance processes. Further, the Strategic Support Manager will be required to setup, drive and guide the procurement department on best practice steam-lined procurement processes for global supply chain management (GSCM), in alignment with SAP Ariba implementation Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management/Economics/Finance/Operations/ A recognised Supply Chain Management Certification at NQF level 7 or equivalentA post graduate business qualification will be a strong advantage
