About the role: As a Procurement Specialist, you will support Capitec Bank in the execution of efficient procurement practices, through: Identifying, developing, and executing strategic sourcing initiatives Identifying and screening procurement suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions, driving improved supplier service levels, managing the contract life cycle. To establish Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) practices and reinforce it through regular benchmarking, periodic RFPs, and supplier performance metrics reporting.
Our ideal candidate has: At least 5-7 years' experience in procurement role, driving cost savings and improving terms and conditions (not buying). This includes: Spend managed > R 300m Management of multiple suppliers Exposure to analysis and presenting of findings in reports, forecasts, trends, and recommendations to the team and senior management. Experience in a purchasing environment experience Exhibits a combination of strong business acumen and commercial aptitude. A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting - Management Accounting or Commerce Proven track record of successfully managing risk in a procurement role / environment.
