As a Social Media Content Creator and Planner, specialising in Reactive & Culture, tapping into current events, trends, and cultural moments, you'll craft and plan content that speaks directly to our audience's interests and passions. Your mission is to enhance our brand's relevance and connection with our community, leveraging reactive content strategies to engage users in real-time discussions and cultural trends.

Plus much more!"That's more like it""Find your role"Support the development of a reactive social media content strategy that aligns with cultural trends and real-time events, ensuring our brand remains at the forefront of conversation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute content that resonates with our audience, maintaining brand voice and guidelines across all platforms.Monitor cultural trends, social media discussions, and current events to identify opportunities for engagement and content creation.Lo-Fi content creation: Creating and editing native lo-fi assets (both meme and video formats) across Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories, TikTok, ensuring the content complies with best practise for each platform.Work closely with the social media analytics team to track performance metrics of reactive content, using insights to refine strategies and increase audience engagement and brand affinity.Create a streamlined process for rapid content development and approval, enabling timely responses to trending topics and discussions.Manage and grow our brand's presence on emerging social media platforms, experimenting with new content formats and strategies to engage with untapped audiences.Foster relationships with cultural influencers, trendsetters, and content creators to amplify our brand's voice in relevant discussions and communities.Manage end to end sign off via our nomination/product/creative process for your workstream and support our broader team seasonally across legal or trading sign off.Support the development of Asda generated content for our broader social channels via collaboration with peers. This will include at times support across copy and continuously shaping Asda's TOV."Lets find out about you" We are seeking a candidate with: A compelling portfolio showcasing expertise in creating engaging, culturally relevant content across various social media platforms either for yourself or a brand you work for. Experience in social media content planning and execution, particularly in a reactive and fast-paced environment.Strong understanding of social media trends, internet culture, and the ability to predict emerging trends.Proficiency in social media analytics tools, with the ability to translate data into actionable content strategies, ideally Brandwatch, Sprinklr or similar.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences and platforms.A creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for storytelling and engaging digital content.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, while also capable of taking initiative and working independently on fast-turnaround projects.Who You'll Work With: You will play a key role in integrating reactive and culturally attuned content into our broader social media strategy, working alongside customer marketing, PR, legal, category and brand teams to create a unified and impactful brand voice across all channels.
