Position – Contract to permanent. Reports to - Maintenance Manager Introduction The Technician is responsible for diagnosing and solving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and other faults on plant and equipment.
This position entails shift work.
Description Description KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Daily maintenance checks on injection moulding machines, decorating and services equipment.
Diagnosing and solving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and other faults.
Machinery downtime reduction.
Attending promptly to machine stoppages or breakdowns.
Planned maintenance.
Identifying and sorting out safety areas of concern.
Housekeeping.
Upkeep of maintenance tools and machinery.
Production and plant efficiency.
Recording of all related reports in the format given to you by your manager.
Shift handing over.
Training of staff.
Mechanical aptitude
Communication - Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing (including presentation). In English.
Thinking process – Ability to use judgement to make sound decisions.
Basic math skills.
Planning and Organising – Ability to identify the steps to be taken to achieve objectives.
Accountability – Taking personal responsibility for actions.
