Position Summary: Responsible for the design, development, administration, operation, and support of the Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online and related capabilities on the Microsoft 365 SaaS Platform. Applies industry best practices and methodologies to UMass Memorial Health (UMMH)'s SharePoint technology, design, deployment, and operations. Incorporates UMMH strategies and goals in providing technical guidance and leadership.
Focuses on multiple aspects of Microsoft 365 including but not limited to SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Planner, Booking, Flows, Power Automate, Power BI.
Major Responsibilities: Works closely with teams across Information Services to ensure technology standards are implemented and maintained.Works with other users in the organization to help design, brand, and structure SharePoint implementations.Assists to define, implement, and maintain a governance model that provides structure for appropriate usage of the SharePoint Intranet, Extranet and Internet sites.Responsible for SharePoint availability, reviewing user activity, error logs, site statistics and responding to problems.Assists and trains authorized SharePoint Site Administrators to properly structure and organize content.Responsible for testing, web applications, developing plans, implementing, and maintaining assigned sites.Maintains the necessary access permissions to provide user security to web sites and pages.Provides SharePoint end user support.Responsible for conducting independent communications with user departments in a cooperative and professional manner.Available outside normal working hours on an occasional basis, as needed, to be called upon to provide emergency system support as necessary, as well as planned maintenance.Keeps up to date with related SharePoint technologies through training, product research and participating in conferences and user groups.Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required: Associate's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or related field.Preferred: Bachelor's degree.Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Teamwork Administrator Associate.Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSA): Enterprise Administrator ExpertExperience/Skills: Required: Must be an expert in Microsoft SharePoint technologies and integration with Microsoft Office software. Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and basic understanding of HTML and CSS technologies.Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory server services and networked environments.Computer equipment and capabilities, microcomputers, data communications and local area networking, relational database and client-server software.Knowledge of, technical report writing, systems analysis techniques, data base management concepts, and management information system concepts.Ability to write moderately complex programs and develop detailed program specifications; analyze data and situations, reason logically and creatively, identify problems, draw valid conclusions, and develop effective solutions; apply creative thinking in the design and development of methods of processing data with electronic computers; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work; communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and prepare effective reports.Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.Must be a team player and willing to teach and to learn.Ability to communicate and teach non-technical users.Ability to work additional hours as needed.Preferred: Experience working within a virtualized environment.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
