ENGINEERING SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER: ENERGY PMOTCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R1174257 PER ANNUM ?REFNO:NRG42/24 Requirements: A Built Environment Professional BTech /BEng (Engineer, Project Manager or related professional), with a minimum of a built environment National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/ BTech qualification and an Advanced Diploma/ BTech/ PgDip in Project ManagementRegistered professional with the relevant Built Environment statutory body or eligible for registrationMinimum of eight (8) years' postgraduate or directly applicable and acceptable experience in a built environment, with matching project management experience, with exposure to a wide range of applicable technologiesExposure to a project implementation and management environmentClient orientated and customer focussedProject financial analysis exposureA high degree of data analysis tools literacy, with relevant experienceValid Code B driver's licence.Key performance areas: Develop project management frameworks and plans to guide the execution and integration of projects, programmes and resources assigned to the post and in line with corporate and business unit requirementsResearch, analyse and disseminate factual information to support the decisions, choices and direction of high risk, complex projectsMake final interpretive decisions on project-related matters and issues of a complex nature in unpredictable environments, which have an impact across the municipality or in internal service deliveryDevelop, coordinate and/or implement minor to medium-sized programmes and major projects of a complex or high-risk nature by ensuring that individual projects are effectively initiated, planned, executed, controlled and closed using agreed upon methodologies, systems and standards, while ensuring adherence to project governance requirementsManage and/or coordinate processes to ensure collaboration and integration amongst multiple projects, shared resources (including stakeholders), inputs and outcomesProvide an internal coordinating service to principals and other professionals on the status, performance and composition of a range of individual, transversal or integrated programmes and projectsProvide an internal project management consulting service to other project management functionaries to ensure that projects are performed in line with directorate and corporate strategies, standards, targets and systems; troubleshoot performance problems; share lesson and best practices; etc.Track, monitor and report on budgetary, performance, impact and risk-related matters of programmes and projects on strategic and business unit objectives, targets and indicatorsEnsure that programmes and projects are aligned and integrated with corporate and customised methodologies, systems, standards, objectives, competencies and requirementsSupply technical, methodological and systems support to project implementers, as well as utilising these services during project executionEnsure the participation of project managers in the necessary corporate and specialised project management competency building training programmesEnsure the application of the agreed upon project management body of knowledge, guidelines templates, language, standard operating procedures and foster a community of professional project management practitioners within the business unit.Please apply online at www.capetown.gov.za/careers(external applicants) or via the SAP Portal (internal applicants) unless otherwise stated.
