Senior Production Planner

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, assertive and analytical thinker to take up the Senior Production Planner position that will assist the Materials Planning and Logistics Manager with the various planning and continuous improvement duties.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Day-to-day Production Planning and input into MRP SystemPlan and schedule workflow for all departmentsAnalyse production specification and plant capacityPreparation of production reportsMonitor production plan execution and track production performancesAssist in continuous improvement projectsQUALIFICATIONS: National Diploma or B-Tech in Logistics/Mechanical or Industrial Engineering required.Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies advantageousWORK EXPERIENCE: 5 - 6 years automotive experience is essentialMRP system experience is essentialProduction planning knowledge would be advantageousGood understanding of ISO 9001,14001 and IATF 16949 elementsAbility to apply problem solving techniquesMust be assertive and a good communicator with excellent follow through and precision reporting capabilities
