1. Arnotrim Home & Town Developers is a well-established construction company engaged in all major aspects of the building construction industry within the Garden Route, Mossel Bay area. Seeks experienced General Foreman to manage full sites from all perspectives. Will be managing all site staff planning and scheduling quality health and safety, sub-contractor sequencing and all other normal site management functions. Must have worked for reputable construction firm, must have 20 years construction experience related qualification a plus. Excellent communication skills, experience in planning of site activities. You will be building high end residential houses. Duties and Responsibilities: - Plan and coordinate the work of staff and subcontractors across multiple building sites. - Manage the performance of all relevant Contractors / Subcontractors, ensuring quality and timely completion of scheduled tasks. - Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method and high-quality standards. - Carry out quality control and assurance of all work done on site. - Manage all aspects of the site including housekeeping, daily schedules, and health & safety. - Managing equipment and required materials. - Carry out and record site inspections. - Maintain all necessary foreman documents and progress reports as required. - Setting out to final finishes. - Setting out, confirming levels with dumpy level (theodolite), casting of concrete, ground beams(rafts), columns, decking, bases and reinforcing fixing. - Project & site management. - Manage staff and control the quality of work on site. - Excellent time management skills. - Must be able to cope under pressure. - Ensuring deliveries goes along with site orders and correct invoices presented and filed. - Conduct calculations to prevent material wastage. - Timely removal of rubble or stored material. - Timely identification of risks. - Supervise the use of machinery and equipment. - Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget. - Report on progress to managers. 1. Desired Experience & Qualification: - A certificate or diploma in building will be an added advantage. - In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and health & safety guidelines. - At least 20 years experience in residential housing industry Foreman role or Construction management. - Strong project and site management skills. - Proven track record in Residential Housing industry from foundation and wet works to finishes. - Broad range of experience with all aspects of residential construction including bricklaying, roofs & trusses, plastering tiling and other flooring types, painting, ceilings, plumbing, basic electrical, kitchens, bathrooms and vanities. - Proven record in dealing with numerous sub-contractors on large building projects. - Sound knowledge of NHBRC standards, requirements and guidelines. - Very good eye for details for quality wet-works and finishes. - Excellent understanding and interpretation of all construction drawings from foundation to finishes. - Ability to communicate and report effectively. - Aptitude in math. - Problem-solving abilities. - Good physical condition and stamina. - Operate and promote safe working on site. Implement Company requirements and legal regulations, paying specific attention to NHBRC legislation and quality. Carry out and record site inspections. Ensure all work are carried out in line with approved method statements. - Conduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks/briefings. Ensure site personnel have job relevant training requirements which is entered on site personnel training register. Lead by example to others on site. - Ensure the completion of works on time and within budget. Schedule, co-ordinate and supervise the daily activities of site operative. Share and pass on knowledge to teams. Ensure site operatives complete all required documentation. Ensure documentation is properly completed in line with Customer/Company requirements Track and document daily work productions. - Organise and monitor the work of subcontractors on site. - Equipment and materials management: Order and manage hired/internal equipment on a daily basis, co-ordinate delivery/pick-up of materials as required. - Key measures & targets: Delivery of projects safely, on time, within budget and snag free. - Key relationships: Subcontractors. 1.
