They research, evaluate and buyproducts for companies to either resell to customers or use in their everyday operations.Placement of orders (Material Supply)Pricing Control & ImprovementsSupplier Ratings: Ensuring the system is updated with the latest pricing at all timesObtaining justifications from suppliers for any pricing amendments receivedObtaining the best possible prices from suppliersSupplier Certification: Daily liaison with planning coordinator, suppliers, stores and receiving personnel with regardto supplySupplier Quality Claims: Support Plant in resolving any claims against suppliers.Comply with audit requirementsEnsuring monthly supplier ratings are updated; Ensuring quarterly supplier performance report is updatedContinuous Improvement: Identify potential areas of improvement.Project supportSourcing of Raw Materials during project phase.JOB REQUIREMENTSMatric/NQF4, Supply chain management, purchasing or engineering diploma will be advantageousInitiative, self--starter with a high level of energy and curiosity starter with a high level of energy and curiosityExcellent administrative skillsExperience with sheet metal, stamping parts and metal components desiredExperience in the automotive industry (OEM, tier 1, tier2) desiredAdvanced computer skills ––MS Excel, MS Outlook, ERP skills (MS Excel, MS Outlook, ERP skills (InforLNInforLN, Oracle), Oracle)Ability to handle pressureExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsGood analytical abilityQuick learner and passionateStrong organization skillsGood attention to detail
