We have a fabulous job opportunity for a highly creative and experienced Senior Art Director at a leading, awarded agency's Johannesburg office. You will be responsible for generating conceptual and creative communication. We're looking for someone who is hungry, hands-on, big thinking, and able- to-roll-out campaigns working across multi-channel platforms (Film, radio, outdoor, print, digital and social media).
In this role, you will report directly to the ECD/CCO and also be responsible for the mentoring of junior writers to help them develop their skills.Job Title:

Work closely with the CCO to develop and produce creative concepts / campaigns that meet client objectives and drive business results in response to creative briefsTo present work internally and externally in a clear and professional mannerWork closely with relevant account teams, ensuring effective communication and management of team's expectationsWork with account teams to understand the client's brand and manage projects in a way that will support the delivery of the brandTo manage and take ownership of projects from origination to completionAccurate recording of work timeDisseminate learning through other creative teams and the departmentTo develop skills and knowledge within yourself through on–the-job development, active participation in the agency and departmentProvide feedback to your copywriter regarding improvements that could be made to your team, the department and agencyCreate clear goals for yourself and set out to achieve themActively support and involve team members at the appropriate time to resolve issuesEncourage all members to look for collaborative ways to make this a great place to work. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior art directors, offering constructive feedback and helping them grow their skills and abilities. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure that our work remains fresh, innovative, and effective. The successful candidate must have/be:
Degree or Diploma in Art Direction (or a Degree in Communication/Design/Fine Art etc. that shows competent visual skills)10 years' plus experience in art directionMainstream advertising agency experience – a mustA passionate art director with both ATL and digital experienceA sound knowledge of the relevant structures and processes in the agencyExcellent computer skillsConfident communication skillsMS Outlook, MSWord, MS PowerPoint and KeynoteChaseInDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, iMovieAnd any other programmes or presentation tools necessary in order to perform the job.Financial services industry experience is an added advantageLocation:
