Duties:Strong planning abilityRoute trucks efficiently.Keeping customers updated regarding their orders.Preparing and presenting logistics reports to senior management.Taking important health and safety measures to avoid quality control issues.Help getting transporters safe loaded at majorsMonitoring fleet via telematics and camera soft wear.Route optimizationLiaising with transporters for pricing and scheduling their loads and keeping all concerned updated.Trip analysis and completion of scheduled paperwork that needs to be invoiced.Assisting controllers with their work load.Preparing drivers paperwork with stops, load release etc.Planning Scheduling and loading of trucksDaily speeding and tracking reportsOverseeing and managing all driversGeneral fleet managementEnsuring that drivers and customers calls are answered in a timeous manner-after hours includedBriefing of driversVehicle monitoring and checking for suspicious stopsTracker and trip sheet analysisMaintain driver disciplineMaintain truck turnaround timeKeep record of all inhouse training and arrange for days for in-house trainingIssuing of warningsPreparing of cases for hearingsAssist with getting rid of preloads and checking in with customers if they are satisfied or if they need productProcessing of drivers leave and managing fleet to ensure there are enough drivers to trucks.Qualifications and Experiences:MatricPreferably newly acquired diploma in logisticsAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlinesKnowledge and Skills:Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications (Word / Excel / PowerPoint), in particular ExcelMust be computer literateExcellent communication skillsMust be able to think on your feetGoal-driven, no time wastersTeam-playerAble to work and thrive under pressureTo go the extra mile, whether expected of you or not
