A well-established Auditing and Accounting firm based in Sandton. Gauteng is seeking a SAICA Trainee Accountant to join their team.
Calling all Accounting Graduates/Students!
Our client is an Accounting and Auditing specialist with a long-established legacy in the finance industry. They have a great reputation for taking in Article Clerks and shaping them into competent professionals. They offer a learning environment that is large enough to gain valuable experience with significant sized clients in different industries, yet small enough that you will receive personalized one-on-one training. We are looking for a hard-working, analytical, and diligent professional who has recently completed their accounting degree or who is currently study towards their CTA and wants to start with their SAICA articles.
Qualifications:
• Candidates with their BCom in Financial Accounting or a final year/completed SAICA-accredited bridging course.

Some of the duties and responsibilities include:
• Perform basic audit tests and procedures under supervision.
• Performing income tax calculations
• Evaluation of budget vs actual income
• Preparing audit reports
• Assessing and evaluating client's annual financial statements
• Reviewing of the general ledger, trial balance and performing reconciliation
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Gain exposure to various accounting systems and software.
• Support senior team members in ad-hoc tasks and projects.
• Develop a strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing techniques.
• Actively participate in training sessions and professional development activities.
