To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations . POSITION SUMMARY We're looking for individuals who not only enjoy the outdoors and are self-starters, but also demonstrate great attention to detail and have a working knowledge of power tools. The ideal candidate will be able to tackle a wide variety of projects, all while contributing to the strengthening of the Steamboat brand. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Operate woodworking tools on a regular basis
Operate heavy equipment including skid steers, end loaders, and any other equipment necessary to perform the required tasks
Operate and assist in the maintenance and care of tools and equipment
Perform basic carpentry and metal fabrication tasks related to the construction and installation of sign banks and other branding-related structures
Responsible for transport of raw materials or completed products and installation. Install completed products to requestor's satisfaction
Tasks range from the unique to the mundane and vary daily. The nature and scope of projects are constantly changing and evolving. Work will vary accordingly
Other duties, as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Must have a valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to the insurance carrier, required
Previous woodworking experience, preferred
Must possess basic mathematical and strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to use a ruler and/or tape measure and have the ability to recognize color
Attention to detail and a steady hand required to perform delicate positioning tasks
Basic knowledge of computers preferred
Ability to follow and adhere to all Safety policies
Ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management, which is consistent with SSRC's Service Excellence standards
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED required
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation 's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation 's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits. 
Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $21-$23 per hour
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job . Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Ability to operate power tools and hand tools (to build sign banks)
Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly
Ability to operate heavy equipment (will train) and motor vehicles
Ability to speak and understand English
Ability to both sit and/or stand for extended periods
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, hear, and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery .
WORKING CONDITIONS Indoor/Outdoor : While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to harsh and varying outside weather conditions.
Hazardous Materials/Noise : The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate.
