If so, we invite you to explore the possibility of joining us to play your part in Desmond Tutu Health Foundations exciting future.Main purpose of this role is to provide research and administrative support to the site lead and other senior research staff.Minimum Requirements:Post-graduate tertiary qualification (at least honors, with masters preferred or in progress) in Health Science fieldAt least 1 year experience in a similar role within a research environmentMust have experience in conducting literature reviewsMust have experiencing using a reference management software to manage bibliographic data and related research materialsExperience with clinical trial administration (Ethics, SAHPRA, SANCTR etc)Experience in the development/use of clinical trial databases e.g. RedCapProficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and antiretroviral treatmentExcellent communication - verbal & written skillsAbility to build relationships with stakeholders and use these to manage studyStrong administrative and logistical skillsStrong planning and organizing skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to work under pressureAbility to maintain effectiveness during changing conditionsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEnglish speakingAdvantageous:Certificate in Good Clinical Practice (GCP)Experience in qualitative statistical analysesValid drivers license with own transportPublication in a peer-reviewed journalXhosa speaResponsibilities:Provide research and administrative support to senior researchers at DCAT siteAssist PI with any presentations (preparation or delivery) that need to be done, based on study data; for calls, presentations or meetingsConduct and present literature reviews as requestedAssist in the preparation of grant applications, scientific writing, manuscript development, and annual reports.Assist in drafting protocols and informed consent documentation.Manage research protocol Ethics/SAHPRA submissions and renewals as neededOrganise (bi- or) annual study meetings (venues, agenda, travel, invitations)Ensure studies are regularly presented to community advisory boards and stakeholdersAssist with qualitative data management and analyses as needed.Attend research meetings as required for project staffValues fit: Passion Innovation Progress Integrity Respect ExcellenceSubmit a detailed cover letter, updated CV with certified copy of highest qualification and details of two (2) current contactable referees in a single PDF file by 16 May 2024.
