Key Accountabilities
Responsible for all work undertaken in the Quarry including infrastructureSpecialist and Industrial Sand Quarry and ProcessingCustomer focus and Liaison workEnsure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation, in particular the Quarries Regulations 1999Develop and maintain the Quarries health and safety document in order to fully meet the QR requirementsImplement and ensure compliance with health and safety systems / standards and best practicesEnsure that all work undertaken in the quarry is risk assessed and safe-working procedures put in placeEnsure that all accidents and incidents are reported and fully investigated and corrective action taken as necessaryMotivate, develop and train quarry personnel and contractors to ensure they continue to meet the competency requirementsDevelopment of the Quarry annual plan and budgets. Ongoing responsibility for the quarry cost control and forecastingProject management of projects within the quarry within agreed timescales and budget.REQUIREMENTS Minimum 5 years' experience working in a quarrySpecialist and Industrial Sand Quarry and Processing experience Experience of managing teams and staff developmentExcellent Customer engagement skills and the ability to focus on the customerProject management experienceEffective Budgeting and cost control skillsDiploma in Quarry Technology or equivalent relevant experienceNVQ level 4 in Health Safety and Environmental Management in Quarrying
