Key Performance AreasFood Safety – BRC:Deputy leader of Food Safety TeamAssist with Managing, implementing, maintaining and auditing of the Food Safety SystemMonitor and advise on continuous improvement of the Food Safety System.Fruit Quality:Manage, train and monitor the Quality TeamMonitoring and communication of all fruit quality standards to ensure the final product meets requirements and standardsManage inspections of quality personnelLiaise with managers and staff in the company to ensure the Quality System is functioning properlyDevelop, implement, maintain and improve quality systemsEnsure compliance with packing guide of the companyKnowledge & ExperienceApplicable quality management experience, preferably in fruit agriculture.5 or more years of integrated exposureKnowledge of the fruit agricultural industryBRC training and experienceHACCP training and experience AVCASA will be an advantageInternal Auditing Training and experienceGood understanding of agricultural exportsExtensive understanding of the portfolio of Quality ManagementGeneral business acumenProduct knowledge and product rangesIntermediate usage of Microsoft OfficeQualificationsGrade 12 (Umalusi national senior certificate)A relevant B-Degree (M+3) (Plant Pathology, Microbiology, Food Science) at a recognized and SAQA accredited university will be advantageous.Skills Required:Facilitation, Coordination & AnalysisLiaison & CommunicationExcellent client relationship-building skillsHigh capacity to represent the brandHigh degree of client engagementAbility to multitaskRemain attentive in an often-busy environmentBe naturally calm and focusedBe versatile if participation in other types of activity is requiredManaging an integrated teamJob Ergonomic Requirements & Remuneration/GradingReports to the Operational Manager-SystemsSpends a fair amount of time in the production areas.Average of 9 working hours per day is required;During peak trading, extensive unpaid overtime may be required.
