Quality Controller
LOCATION: Johannesburg East
SALARY AND BENEFITS: R 30000 – R 45000 p/m CTC
DESCRIPTION / SYNOPSIS: We are actively seeking for an experienced, dedicated, and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a renowned Manufacturing organization in the mining sector based in Edenvale. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting various products, actively participating in the enhancement the quality management system, and ensuring adherence to project and internal specifications. This position will initially start as a 1 year contract position with a very good possibility of becoming permanent.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should meet the following criteria:
SAIW Level 1 or 2 Qualification, or a relevant Engineering qualification.At least 5 years of experience in the industry, with a strong background in quality inspection.Proven experience in Quality Management Systems, preferably with a background in auditing in accordance with ISO 9001.Knowledge of materials used in the industry is advantageous.Prior experience in a similar role, particularly in an engineering or manufacturing environment.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly.Strong report writing skills, with a focus on accuracy and detail.Ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic team environment.Professional demeanour, with a capacity to handle customer interactions proficiently.A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to think critically.Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing project needs and deadlines.RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct thorough inspections of welding, castings, forged products, and fabricated items, ensuring adherence to drawings and project specifications.Utilize basic drafting skills to interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications.Play an active role in the successful implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.Perform failure report writing, analyzing root causes, and suggesting corrective actions.Collaborate with different departments to enhance product quality and ensure continuous improvement.Engage professionally with customers, addressing their concerns and feedback effectively.Willingness to work overtime as required to meet project deadlines and objectives.Do you see yourself as the successful Quality Inspector at this Company?
