Quality Control & Inspection Officer

Job Title: Quality InspectorLocation: Clayville Industrial, Olifantsfontein, South Africa Job Objective:We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to oversee Quality Control Inspections on heavy industrial equipment during manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a background in quality control/inspection with essential experience in boilermaking and welding, along with a Level 1 SAWI certificate.Key Responsibilities:Oversee strict adherence to Quality Control Plans throughout manufacturing phases.Verify correct implementation of welding procedure specifications (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), and welder qualification records (WQR).Ensure material traceability and welding consumable certificates are maintained.Conduct daily welding checklist inspections to ISO 3834 standards and maintain records.Conduct continuous inspections on equipment during manufacturing phases.Responsible for final inspection and compilation of punch lists on completed equipment.Support the Workshop Manager in quality-related aspects during manufacturing.Adhere to all company quality standards and ISO 3834 requirements.Ensure compliance with customer requirements regarding Quality Control.Report all quality-related matters to the Manager Quality.Essential Competencies:3+ years' experience in quality control, including inspection and information reporting.Strong team player with excellent attention to detail.Proficient in report writing, planning, organizing, and time management.Ability to resolve deficiencies and problems effectively.Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.Proficient in gathering, monitoring, and analyzing quality data information.Ability to read drawings and use measuring devices and instruments.Common sense, logical thinker with good judgment.Positive and honest attitude with a strong character.
