Position Overview: Performs administrative support, coordinates day to day activities and triage functions for multiple adult and child practitioners, as well as projects and/or programs they support.
Major Responsibilities:Conducts telephone screenings according to established program policies and procedures.Accepts telephone, fax and email referrals from PCP offices, other agencies, etc.Responsible for the patient intake process including, but not limited to, registration functions, insurance verifications, co-payment process, and scheduling.Position Qualifications:License/Certification/Education: Required: High school diploma or equivalent with additional specialized courses required. Preferred: Associates Degree, in Psychology or Human Services desired.
Experience/Skills: Required: Minimum of three years of related work experience. Knowledge of medical terminology, health and wellness, and healthcare office experience required. Ability to work independently while prioritizing workload. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Preferred: Demonstrated expertise utilizing various software applications, including Microsoft Office applications, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation graphics, and database utilization preferred. Medical system software, IDX, Allscripts, and insurance verification software strongly preferred.
