Location: Johannesburg Intro:Reporting into the Client and Risk Executive, this portfolio entails ownership of the Project and Delivery Assurance function (including line and career management of team members), including but not limited to Delivery Assurance management, Project Management Office (PMO) management and reporting.
Main Purpose of the Role Provide input into the holistic Operational execution strategy and plan, with a focus on Delivery Assurance and Project Management effectivenessDesign and implement the Project and Delivery Assurance framework, ensuring incremental maturity improvementDefine Delivery and Assurance function goals and contributionsLead the PMO effort and measurements across all projectsLead the Delivery Assurance efforts and measurements, providing an end-to-end view of project performance and the ongoing client experience (e.g., milestones met/missed, client key stakeholder engaged/mapped, schedule on track, stage plans approved)Develop a view of delivery quality, reporting this to relevant stakeholdersIn the event of project underperformance / misalignment with business goals, define and lead (through others) necessary actions to remediateMaintain overall responsibility for systems, processes and practices, tools, material and administration relevant to Project and Delivery Assurance function, and continuously work to improve theseDesign and implement a robust way-of-working to monitor the projects in-flight against baselines (project and commercial models)Monitor, track and report on performance, risks and compliance to internal stakeholdersDevelop, maintain and monitor the key assurance processes incl. Risk Management, Quality Assurance, Stakeholder Management, Client Service/Spirit levels as executed by the Sales teams and project/portfolio performance (Scope, Schedule, Budget)Provide assurance that key projects and portfolios meet the client's specified benefit realisation goalsProvide project delivery input in pre-sales opportunitiesEnsure appropriate Risk and Assurance training and guidelines are in placeProvide guidance and career support to PMO team membersDirect and coordinate project management approach and methodology to deliver best-in-class professional servicesMaintain fit-for-purpose PMO through collaboration across the ecosystemRisk and assurance management: Ownership of risk and assurance execution frameworkDrive assurance plan(s) across deliverables, including due consideration for software implementation programmesCritique / Perform quality assessment reviews on deliverables, plans and reportsMaintain continuous risk and compliance management, including continuous assessments, timely decision making and monitoring of residual risk on projects / programmesReporting Management: Design and develop reports across the delivery landscape to enable effective decision makingManage delivery risk reporting and, where necessary, define remediation stepsManage exception and variance reporting (e.g., financial performance / scope changes / milestones / stage plans, etc.)Manage people allocation reporting, identify people-related issues (e.g., % fit to roles, gaps in project plans, over-allocation, over-time, etc.)Internal systems management: Maintain and update internal PMO systems (SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform, Microsoft Teams, internal ERP, MyWorkLife, etc.)Practical Focus (plans, solutions, technical problem solving)#J-18808-Ljbffr
