Qualifications and Experience Tertiary Qualification in Production Management Minimum 5 years' experience in FMCG industry, strong working knowledge of safety codes, OSHAct, and environmental regulations. Extensive working experience in FMCG Packaging Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to coach and mentor staff. Own Transport Duties Overseeing the management and control of the entire factory operation. Responsible for the operational tasks including the planning, monitoring, coordinating and organising of the operations function, from in and outbound of materials and finished goods, as well as the production, SHEQ and maintenance functions. Oversee and lead manufacturing processes within budget constraints. Ensure that finished goods loads are verified and signed off. Managing operational projects to maximise productivity and cost-savings. Overseeing the management of consumable stock issuing and returns, determining safety stock levels. Liaise with material planners, ensure that daily stock counts are timeously submitted. Develop clear accountability for process, production, SHEQ, engineering and warehouse function. Oversee the developing of the required documentation. Audit and ensure compliance to SOP systems of operation's function. Use data from the IT system to evaluate performance and quality and to plan improvements. Oversee that that raw and packaging materials are supplied OTIF to production to ensure minimum down time. Conduct root cause analyses to identify bottlenecks and poor flow within the plant. Drive continuous improvement in all functions. Ensure that operational tasks including the monitoring and reviewing of maintenance activities in compliance with regulations take place. Ensure that the maintenance department's targets are met to ensure minimum down time and breakdowns. Ensure a safe working environment. Using safety standards to ensure compliance with policies, regulations and SOP's. Ensuring good standards of housekeeping is maintained at a plant level.
