Production Manager

Role: Production Manager Location: Western Cape - Overberg, GansbaaiSalary: TBCResponsibilities: As the Production Manager you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations on their grow-out platforms. Your key responsibilities will include:Managing staff, including job descriptions, team assignments, weekend shifts, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations.Ensuring efficient stock management, including feeding, cleaning, grading, export allocations, batch management, and harvests.Maintaining accurate stock databases, tracking movements, numbers, biomass, growth, allocations, grading, mortalities, and reconciliations.Leading production research and development efforts.Implementing health and biosecurity programs to ensure the well-being of their aquatic resources.Conducting statutory tests, such as health assessments, water quality testing, and effluent management.Generating monthly reports on stock metrics, growth rates, harvests, export allocations, and grading percentages.Requirements: To excel in this role, you will need:Matric (Senior Certificate) and a National Diploma in Agriculture.A valid South African Driver's License.Strong teamwork and communication skills.At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.Proficiency in administration and a keen understanding of safe working standards.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.If you're ready to take on a rewarding challenge and contribute to the success of my client's dynamic aquaculture operation, they invite you to apply for the Production Manager position today.
