To ensure the smooth running of all the Production Unit for maximum production performance that safely meets customers and quality requirements in time.
JOB FUNCTION:
Production outputs are monitored and managed to meet deadlines and quality requirements according to specifications and company targets
Operational, safety, quality and human resources reports are generated and submitted according to the company procedure
WIP is maintained at the minimum levels to achieve company production targets
Incidents raised by customers are investigated, monitored and reported on weekly
All the day-to-day activities at the production units are planned, organized, controlled and recorded according to company requirements
Production process development with full documentation support.
Work with Quality to deliver a robust and cost-effective end to end process.
Identify and implement new technologies, specification of requirements, Capex justification, planning and implementation.
Provide World Class Manufacturing techniques to support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
Facilitates deployment of Management for Daily Improvement, Visual Management, and Standard Work.
Systems and practices necessary for an effective, innovative, safe and continuous learning culture among staff, contractors and suppliers are implemented and maintained
Suitable manpower capabilities are planned, selected, developed and maintained for the production units
KRAs are monitored and evaluated according to company procedures
Plant related safety risks are monitored and addressed
Compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements is ensured
The annual production budget is formulated and the quarterly short-term plan has been updated
Monthly stock takes are planned and managed accordingly
OSH ACT is implemented as per standard requirements, all non-conformances are managed, captured on Sheqsys and closed
Company HR and Disciplinary policy is adhered to, coaching and technical direction is provided according to staff needs and all training is recorded in required format
Supervisory Certificate or Diploma is an advantage
REQUIREMENTS:
10 years relevant production experience with 5 years of supervisory role
Identifies safety issues and takes corrective action, quality orientated, problem solver, can build a successful team, initiates collaboration, contributes to team success, has good planning, organising and communication skills
Displays knowledge of raw materials, production processes and other techniques for maximising the effective manufacture of goods
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel and Outlook) and JDE
What Qualification Matric + Production Management/Engineering Diploma
