Minimum Requirements Grade 12 is essential Post Matric qualification in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (e.g. NQF level 6 / Diploma or higher) Min of 5 years' relevant working experience on Middle management level & within a manufacturing environment Proficient on MS Office Suite An in-depth knowledge and understanding of Lean manufacturing principles Responsibilities Direct and coordinate activities concerning production of company Confer with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, as well as cost controls Plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment Ensure the preventative maintenance and repairs scheduled of assets in production departments are adhered to in line with maintenance department objectives Consult with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products Assist and provide input into the preparation of the manufacturing business unit expense budget Plan, formulate, organize, control, and direct personnel and production activities, by removing process waste, to maximize outputs and improve efficiencies Ensure delivery of quality products within standard requirements TO APPLY: Only if you do meet the minimum job requirements and experience as mentioned above, you may submit a detailed updated CV.
