Our client in the FMCG industry is seeking a Production Manager in the Heidelberg area to join their company. This person must have experience in organisational transformation.Job Title: Production Manager (FMCG Foods)Geographical area: Heidelberg, GautengSalary range: R 550000.00- R 750000.00 paThe successful incumbent will be responsible for: Accountable for all aspects of the departmental processing operation including yield, quality and cost achievement, as well as controlling stock levels of finished products and packing material. This must be achieved in line with the business policies and procedures, whilst developing the team and quality culture on site.Maintain food production compliance in accordance with the relevant legislative, customer and company requirements, paying particular attention to Food Safety standards held by the plant (HACCP, ISO 22000:2005 and FSSC 22000:2010).Responsible for directing and training supervisors in all facets including but not limited to production paperwork yields time and attendance discipline motivation turnover absenteeism safety problem solving etc.Accountable for areas of performance safety quality workers compensation turnover bid movement Team Member morale and other duties as neededEnsure adequate staffing by scheduling, training, and mentoring the local team to ensure they are meeting performance metrics and operating efficientlyTake control of all aspects of the production: setting up the line, packing, and cleaning up at the end of each shift.Manage the inventory spreadsheet for warehouse supplies to ensure that the team has enough supplies to operate seamlessly on a day to day basis.Own all major decisions around the pack line flow and all supporting ops functions as well as bottom lining food safety and warehouse safetyOversee and own the process of shutting down the line and cleaning up the warehouse.Keep a constant eye out for opportunities to improve the operational flow, key metrics, employee happiness, food safety and warehouse safety at Imperfect and relay those to the Ops Leadership Team.Plan and organise production schedulesEffectively order suppliers for productionEstimate, negotiate and manage budgets and timescales with clients and managersEnsure that Health and Safety regulations are met in your department and in the factoryDetermine quality control standards on products developedOversee Production processOrder and purchase materials for productionOrganise the repair and routine maintenance of production equipmentOrganise relevant training sessions in your departmentManage human and material resources to meet production targetsImplement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectivesAnalyse production and quality control to detect and correct problems.Ensure all company regulations and government legislations are adhered to.Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution, and management.Ensure manufacturing and processing staff wear appropriate sanitary and protective gear to ensure health and safetyMonitor every aspect of production to ensure compliance with established procedures and standardsOversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment to ensure smooth work operations.Minimum qualifications and experience:Diploma or degree in Production / Operation Management10 years experience in Production or Operations Management8 Years experience in FMCG Foods industryProper understanding of HACCP / ISO / FSSCPlease apply via our website:
