Procurement Specialist

Procurement Specialist required on Contract bases of 4 months in Sandton. Your purpose is to assist with the Procurement of Warehousing, Logistics, 3rd Party Co-packers, Clearing & Forwarding, Facilities, IT and HR services that are under the control of the Regional Procurement office. You will maintain strong working relationships with Suppliers to enable the purchasing of innovative products in line with time, cost and quality requirements with the Category Manager.Requirements: Relevant 3-year B Degree tertiary qualification2 years' experience in a procurement environment with a proven history of managing suppliersProcurement and tender experience is essentialMinimum beginners excel skillsProven track record of influencing key internal and external stakeholdersFMCG experience is beneficial Key Duties: Execute RFQ's for categoryExecute order processing (order placement and GRN where required) within JDECollate all necessary category analytics where requiredAnalyze spend and user specific requirementsConduct market research to assess market dynamics related to the category/iesSupport and localize sourcing strategy executionEnsure readiness across all countries for strategy execution with Category ManagerEscalate where necessary supplier performance issuesSupport collaborative optimization activities where applicableHandle second level escalations with suppliers/internal stakeholders to resolve performance issuesCollaborate with supplier and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of Category Managers sourcing outputs / agreementsEnsure suppliers are correctly enabled through ERP
