Responsibilities What are we looking for?: The purpose of this job is to Lead Move Transport categories across SA, managing a total spend of approximately $100MM, through (1) Defining and executing category strategies: Risk Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Innovation and Productivity, (2) Measuring and Improving Performance, (3) Achieving Annual Plans, delivering productivity through total cost of ownership optimization and (4) ensure supplier compliance to PepsiCO Processes Accountabilities: Sourcing: Lead strategic procurement initiatives for the Transport Move Category in SSA BU's, working to develop and implement category strategies which are appropriate for the BU (this would also be applicable to Direct Materials) Govern the development of Category related sourcing contracts and agreements; lead negotiations and conduct developments with key suppliers Define, evaluate and evolve sourcing strategies based on changing market conditions and provide input during strategic sourcing activities, including internal and external analysis and negotiations Implement sourcing recommendations, ensure compliance is monitored, and benefits tracked in line with the procurement policies & practices Ensure implementation of sourcing strategies / plans, compliance monitored, and benefits tracked (in close collaboration with the Transactional Procurement Team) in line with the procurement policies, DoA and Procurement practices Manage Transport Move categories on a cluster level leveraging PepsiCo's OpCo's footprint in SSA CLUSTER Lead the Transport Move team in tracking, monitoring and reporting of supplier markets for categories during the duration of contracts (including benchmarking against industry / market standards) Collaboration: Work closely with Senior Indirects Manager to: Plan and monitor Transport categories' annual and long-term strategic sourcing targets Plan and monitor sourcing Productivity / Savings for Transport categories (for the current year and over PSP). Lead improvement initiatives from procurement side for categories in scope, example but not limited to supplier evaluation scorecards Lead supplier diversity plans Deliver on pep+ & sustainability as related to GHG Work closely with the Operational Teams in ensuring achievement of service delivery, right quality, first time. This will include operational tasks/activities where business need exists. Risk Management & Control: Evaluate strategic partnerships and develop ability to obtain and implement category risk management and sustainable deals at local market level for all Move (excluding primary freight) related sub-category. Refine & flawlessly execute the risk management strategies. Identify High risk Suppliers, develop and qualify a business continuity plan to ensure supply security. Ensure suppliers compliance to Sustainable Sourcing Program & Third Party Due Diligence requirements. Ensure Full Compliance to GP & SSA Control Policy. Productivity & OCF: Define and achieve SSA Transport Move annual and long-term strategic sourcing inflation, productivity & OCF targets. Lead the development and execution of productivity pipeline for SSA Transport Move Lift and shift/adapt ideas from other countries/regions Lead all Wave Bidding & Productivity Projects for SSA Transport Move Manage SSA Transport Move cash flow / payable terms extension process Sustainability – Environmental, Human & Business Continuity: Ensure delivery of PepsiCo's sustainability goals are delivered. Ensure adequate BCP's are developed for SSA Transport Move suppliers. Financial Reporting: Lead Move prices for AOP, forecast prices and submission according to global & Sector timeline requirements People: Work closely with Category Lead, Sector & Global COE leads Collaborate with SSA Category Lead and other COE teams and cross functional stakeholders to deliver against key business objectives Build Procurement function credibility with the business stakeholders; represent Procurement function internally (peer level) and externally (suppliers) Qualifications What will qualify you for this role? Relevant Tertiary qualification Minimum 5 years+ experience in a Procurement Category Management position Proven technical procurement category knowledge of to ensure the continued adoption and use of best practice approaches Sound knowledge of supply market fundamentals Experience in strategically sourcing categories in scope Be a recognized leader of change. Proven influencing skills to positively impact complex negotiations. Excellent balance of analytical & negotiation skills Contract writing / risk analysis / liabilities and indemnities / SLA's / and general commercial terms. Sound understanding of SAP and P2P Governance and ControlsAble to partner with senior stakeholders (Cluster & BU GM, CFO, SC VP, CHRO, R&D & Commercial teams) Able to communicate business strategies to suppliers as well as internal stakeholders. Effective people leader including ability to lead cross functional teams. Track record of being able to drive cross-functional support and resources for projects to deliver results on time. Effective project manager who is able to articulate and escalate hurdles quickly and keep driving the projects forward.
