BELLVILLE Requirements: A relevant National DiplomaA minimum of five (5) years' relevant industry experience in telecommunications transmission networks and networking knowledge of monitoring/event/fault/management applications for DWDM networksExperience in troubleshooting transmission, routing and switching issues.Key performance areas: Undertake and lead technical activities within the switching facilities and high sites infrastructure maintenance and repairsProvide quality supervision and control of planning, planning maintenance and repairs of the DWDM network and applicationsEnsure as-built information submitted accordingly for update: ensure compliance with SOPs, policies and guidelines, provide feedback to managementDesign Interpreting – review and interpret the drawings/plans specifying changes in records or as-built informationCoordinate the day-to-day activities of the DWDM network maintenance as well as contractors involved in the supply and update of information in order to fulfil delivery commitments of the sectionProvide support to project management and operations management as required to ensure commitments are met by City vendorsMaintain effective communication with stakeholder.Please apply online at www.capetown.gov.za/careers(external applicants) or via the SAP Portal (internal applicants) unless otherwise stated.
