Core Functions: Manage geochemistry, contamination and remediation projects; Compile proposals and reports; Coordinate project schedules; Undertake site assessments/field work, when required; Manage budgets; Appoint and manage sub-contractors; Develop and sustain new business and client relationships both within SRK and externally; and Develop and grow a team and mentor junior colleagues. Competencies and Characteristics: Excellent geochemistry/geology/chemistry/industrial waste & mine residue characterisation and management/pollution source identification and control knowledge; Project management and organisational skills; Ability to work in a dynamic consulting environment; Self-starter and committed team player; Decision-maker and capable of taking calculated risks; Excellent reporting, communication and presentation skills; and Analytical and integrative skills across diverse sectors. Qualifications: Honours Degree or higher in Geochemistry or Geology or Hydrogeology or Chemistry or other relevant degree; Sci.Nat. or equivalent Registration; 12 to 15 years' relevant experience; Valid driver's licence and own transport; and Willingness to travel within and outside South Africa.
